Dev Gaymes is a licensed life insurance agent and independent broker serving the DFW metroplex, an advisor appointed with 30+ A-rated carriers rather than a captive agent tied to one company.
The Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex spans four counties and more than 7 million people. The planning needs shift noticeably as you move across it. We work the whole footprint by phone and video.
We also serve Plano, McKinney, Prosper, Allen, Richardson, Garland, Irving, Arlington, Fort Worth, Flower Mound, Colleyville, Grapevine, Keller, Trophy Club and Little Elm - plus the surrounding communities in Dallas, Tarrant, Collin and Denton counties.
Fast-growing, corporate relocations, business owners. Income protection, buy-sell funding and tax-advantaged accumulation come up most.
Established and affluent. Estate liquidity, survivorship and long-term care planning dominate.
Enormously varied: first mortgages in East Dallas, estate planning in Preston Hollow and the Park Cities.
Family protection, mortgage protection and final expense are the common starting points.
Buy-sell agreements, key-person coverage and SBA loan collateral assignment.
Carrier selection matters most here. Health conditions guide →
Whatever county you are in, the most common need is the same: replace the income and cover the mortgage for as long as anyone depends on them. The amount changes by market; the structure does not.
On mortgage protection: the declining-benefit product sold by lenders is usually worse value than level term at the same amount - the full comparison.
The DFW metroplex has been absorbing corporate relocations for two decades, and it shows in the planning. A large share of the households we work with did not grow up here, which creates a specific set of issues a lifelong-resident advisor might not think to raise.
Dallas, Tarrant, Collin and Denton counties differ enormously in housing cost, industry mix and household profile. They do not differ in life insurance pricing.
Rates are filed with state regulators at the state level, so a Frisco family and a Fort Worth family with identical age and health pay identical premiums. What varies is the amount that makes sense, a $700,000 mortgage in Southlake produces a different number from a paid-off home in Garland, and which carrier underwrites the file best.
Two things worth doing in your first year, neither of which requires buying anything:
The entire metroplex - Dallas, Fort Worth, Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Prosper, Allen, Southlake, Colleyville, Grapevine, Keller, Irving, Arlington, Garland, Richardson, Flower Mound and the surrounding communities across Dallas, Tarrant, Collin and Denton counties.
By phone or video, wherever you are in the metroplex. That works identically to meeting face to face for application, underwriting and delivery purposes, and it means a Fort Worth or McKinney family gets exactly the same service as one in Dallas without anyone driving across the metroplex.
No. Life insurance rates are filed with state regulators at the state level, so your address within Texas does not change the premium the way it can for auto or homeowners insurance. Age, health, tobacco use, coverage amount and carrier selection are what drive cost.
Yes. We are licensed in 19 states including Texas and Florida, so in many cases we can begin before you arrive and keep the policy in place afterward. Coverage you own personally follows you regardless of where you live or work.
For pricing, it does not matter at all. Rates are filed with regulators, so the same policy costs the same whether you buy it in Dallas, Denton or online. Where it matters is on anything complicated. I am an independent broker rather than a captive agent, which means I can move a difficult file between carriers instead of taking the one answer a single company gives. On a straightforward case that is worth little. On a file with health history it is often worth thousands.
Independent advice anywhere in the metroplex, by phone or video.
